ABOUT ME
If you have any questions, please contact me here.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island, my Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University, and completed a two-year post-graduate program through the Multicultural Family Institute where I was trained in family and play therapy with a focus on bereavement, addictions, and domestic violence.
I am a New Jersey State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have a private practice working with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couples and family therapy. I also currently work as a school social worker in a public high school and has expertise in school law, policy, and IEP eligibility. In addition, I have spent a number of years working for New Jersey Mental Health Cares; an information, referral and crisis call center wherein I completed the DRCC (Disaster Response Crisis Counselor) certification.
I sit on the Board of Directors for The 2 Degrees Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to improve stillbirth outcomes in the State of New Jersey through research, education, awareness, and bereavement groups. As part of this organization, I have sponsored and ran fundraisers and will be offering bereavement groups in the near future.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process that serves as a way to facilitate insight into one's past, learn to be in the present, and achieve one's future aspirations. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, loss, and addiction. My approach is solution based and person centered to empower clients to reach their fullest potential. In addition, I utilize play and art therapy, as well as cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based therapies as a way to process trauma.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all my clients as they navigate their own personal journey in life.
